My name is Kateryna Sabanska Melillo –
marriage and family therapist and an individual psychotherapist.
The goal of my work is primarily about creating a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment in which you can explore and process your concerns, fears, and other life struggles that may be impacting your relationship with yourself, others, and the world.
Choosing the right person to work with takes time, energy and patience; it is also very personal and needs to align with our unique needs and interests. If you are committed to healing, moving forward and creating the life you want, I would be honored to work collaboratively with you.

We find ways to improve the quality of your relationships and life. Self-awareness and self-growth are promoted by individual therapy. If you are feeling overwhelmed, alone, hurt or dissatisfied we can explore underlying causes and help you to start living a better life.
Couples and Marriage Counselling
Sometimes it is quite hard for couples to get through conflicts and leave the past behind. Together – we can explore your past within a safe space, where we can investigate how your past relationships and family dynamics have impacted your lives and your relationships. You will get insight into your emotions, your reactions to them, your coping and communication skills and with that learn to resolve a conflict and improve the quality of your relationships.
Family therapy can help people to navigate through tough times such as resolving current conflict where there is lack of successful communication, providing additional support when a family member suffers from addiction or mental illness, to the point when the entire family goes through a divorce or a loss of a loved one. In addition, it can help address children’s mental health to reduce problems at home, in school, and with friends. Sometimes I work with children alone, other times I offer to include family members or important adults in the child’s life. Working with toddler and children, I use play and art therapy while therapy for adolescents and adults may include some techniques mentioned above, CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and FFT (Family-Focused Treatment) are used.
